My Thoughts:
I got this as a free download to my Kindle and for a free download it was not to bad.... I rather enjoyed the book and the story line. I love books about werewolves so I thought I would download it and start reading it. Now I didn't realize it was a Novella at first until I started wondering why things were moving way to fast for a novel then I got to looking and it was a Novella. That was my fault for not fulling getting all the information before reading it. But for a Novella it sure was pretty enjoyable for me.

The main characters Jessica Tandy and Flint Riverclaw were easy to fall in love with. Flint Riverclaw was the ideal protect the woman to the death type of guy, which I love and Jessica was a city girl who was clearly not the outdoors type. The author did a wonderful job describing all the characters in the novella so the reader could get a good feel for them and get to know them in a short time. Things in this novella did more a little quick for me but for the most part the author did a wonderful job.

This novella is an adult romance and I would not recommend it to a young teen because of it's sexual content. It does have a couple of love making scenes in the book but the author does a wonderful job with that part of the story as well. It isn't to heavy and explicit but still adult content and very well done.
I give this book 3 stars .

I really don't like the cover to this book I felt they could of done so much more for it. I am one that covers really catch my eye and I didn't check this one out before downloading. But I guess that is why you don't judge a book by its cover because I did enjoy the novella just wasn't rocking the cover.

My Thoughts:

I haven't read any books with fairs before reading Demon Girl so I wasn't sure if I was going to like this or not. I actually did like the story line and the characters but I felt more time should of been spent getting us to know them more. I thought this moved along way to quickly for me and I found myself trying to back track and catching up.

I enjoy books that have demons, vampires, witches and other demon like characters in them. I have never really thought of a fairy as a demon but this book blinds them all in together and makes it work. This was an enjoyable young adult book with adventure, romance and so much more. I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars.

My Thoughts: My daughter and I just loved her new Hands-On Bible. She thought it was a wonderful thing to listen to me reading her Bible and then she got to draw, discuss or do little projects that coincide with what she was learning. I thought this was such a net way to learn about The Bible.

When you read each page there are little things written in the margins of things you can do with your little one. For example: Page 91 "Jump as high as you can. A giant is even taller than that!" or Page 201 "Hug yourself tightly, 2nd imagine God holding you." And at the end of each verse there is a page of things to do. I like the lets talk section because it allows you to have your children talk about things and you also like "Tell about a time someone forgave you.'

I really enjoyed reading this with my daughter and doing the little projects with her. I believe she will and has learned a lot more from this Hands-On Bible then the childrens Bible I usually read to her. This one allows her to actually do more than just listen it helps her learn.

My Thoughts: I really liked this book and so did my kids. We really had fun doing the projects together and learning all about them. There are 25 easy projects to do, we didn't do them all but we did do a lot of them. What fun we had sitting up and building our mini putt golf course... We learned how on pager 32 its called the mini putt golf challenge. The kids played for a while with this project building more ramps at different levels. Other projects we made were Make your own Helicopter page 56, we designed a castle pulley system page 78 and even did our own scavenger hunt found on page 85.

This is a wonderful book of projects that are fun and educational for your children. My kids learned a lot and had fun with this book. I was happy that they had a glossary in the back of the book for my kids could look up a word and find out what it means. This would also be a neat book to have around when it's time for your children to do science fair projects.

My youngest daughter just loves books and her favorite ones are the most colorful ones. We received Kathryn the Grape's Colorful Adventure in the mail the other day and she hasn't put it down since. Even thou she doesn't know how to read yet with out my help she sure loves spending time looking at the colorful pictures. I love the beautifully illustrated pages of this book. It sure keep my little one's attention to it while I read to her.

I have had to read this book to her several times because she loves it so much. It doesn't sit on her book self for long. I am glad this is more than just another childrens book, It is a children's book with a wonderful message... My daughter gets to follow Kathryn and Maggie along a journey to discover how to make Kathryn's rainbow shine.

My daughter want's a charm bracelet with all the colors and charm's just like Kathryn's. She wants the charms to light up when she learns something new just like Kathryn's so her rainbow can shine.

This was a wonderful book for children to read and enjoy the wonderful message it has to offer. I would have no problem recommending this book to anyone. I give this book an easy 5 stars, not only was this a wonderful book it was so colorful for children to enjoy.

My Thoughts: Bravo... Wow... Wolfsbane was just as good if not better than the first book in the Nightshade series. I fell in love with Calla and shay from the first book and it stood true all the way to the end in the second book.

Andrea Cremer is a brilliant writer. Her characters are well written and once you start reading you will get lost in the story as I did. Wolfsbane was a real page turner for me and I didn't want to put it down for a second. Now I have to wait tell January 3, 2012 for book #3 Bloodrose to be released.

Wolfsbane is a wonderful YA book and I would recommend it to anyone. I give this book an easy 5 Stars.

"Banned Books Week (BBW) is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment. Held during the last week of September, Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States." Taken straight from the American Library Association (ALA).

I love to read and the thought of not being able to read something because it has been banned or been Censored is just horrible and wrong. Below is the top 9 books that have either been Banned or challenged in the 20th century to be removed from library shelves or from classrooms. My Thoughts: I absolutely loved the first two books in the Fallen Series and couldn't wait for this one to come out so I can read it as well. I couldn't wait to find out what was in store for Luce and Danial.

After reading halfway through the book I was kind of disappointment that it was dragging with the same thing over and over again and I felt that it wasn't getting anywhere. With so much going on in the first two books it was a little let down to me for this one. Luce going back into her past lives for her to find out and understand the love her and Danial have was exciting at first for about the first four past lives after that it got a little much.

I did enjoy the book and I am still planning on reading Rapture book #4 of the series. Over all I have enjoyed the Fallen series I was just a little disappointed in book #3. Passion at the end got better and the way it ended I now can't wait for book #4 to come out. If I had to rate this book I would give it 3 stars .

I just loved these books... from the moment I started reading them I couldn't put them down tell I had finished them... I love a book that makes me want to read it again..(Yes I finally said it)..

My middle daughter has read the Twilight Series over again about 4 times now and at first I told her how can you finish a book and then want to read it again you already know everything about that book... She simply told me "Mom how could you not want to read a fantastically written book again." I really never got it tell I picked up Black Smoke by Robin Leigh Miller.... Wow what a wonderfully written book... it had everything and it had me reading it all over again. Now I know what she meant... Who would of thought that my 13 year old would teach me a thing or two about books.

My library has an online option to send request to purchase books so I just sent that request to my library to purchase it. My Thoughts: My daughter really loved this book with all the colorful pictures and it had a train and horses in it... She loves trains and horses. I sat down and read it to her the other night and she is still dragging this book around.

The recommended age group for this book is 6 years and up. My daughter is 3 so she is a little young for this book however she sure did enjoy the story and the wonderfully illustrated pictures. At her age the book is a little long but she sure will enjoy this book for years to come...

I am always happy to get childrens books that tell about our history and this one is about the history of transportation. I really enjoyed the time line page at the back of the book. It gives information from the years of 1806 - 2004. (example: 1908 Henry Ford's first Model T rolls off the assembly line.) Plus the Places to visit page in the back has places, address and phone numbers of Museums, Education Centers and more.

I really loved this book for the history that the children will learn. What a wonderful way to teach children about the history of our transportation in a fun easy book. I have no problem recommending this book to children.

My Thoughts: I have been glued to this story every since she was found.. I remember as a child hearing about her disappearance and to be found after all those years is amazing. So when I hear of this book she was writing I waited and waited to buy it and read it.

I was brought to tears through out this book and even had a laugh or two with Jaycee. This is a book written in her own words about her abduction, what she had to go through and her struggle to reconnect with her family after all those years. Jaycee Lee Dugard took her name and her life back. I had a hard time putting down this book unless I was crying to hard to just read on... I'm not to sure I could of held myself together for all those years like Jaycee did...

Jaycee is truly an amazing women, not only for her survival but she survived without hatred in her heart. I know I could of never came out of something like this with out hatred. She is so brave to even tell this story in great detail as she did.

She has two girls and the conditions she had to go through not only for her but for her children were so horrible. I can't imagine giving birth to my children in a back yard with no medical attention or even any medicine to help with the pain... Jaycee had no choice but to do just that and to make sure her girls had the best education that she herself could give them.

I could go on and on about this book but I will not... I don't want to spoil to much of it for the rest of you. I highly recommend reading this book but make sure you have a box of Kleenex's on hand because you will need them.

Hello Everyone - An Update

I am getting back to my book blog slowly and I'm getting ready to post some book reviews that are over due in the next week and posting the winners of my giveaways.

Most of you know I had a death in my family - My father in law was killed in a car accident and I kind of dropped everything with my book blog for a while... Not forever just for a little while.... And now I have gotten bad news that my sister of "DK's Everything Romance Books" has been diagnosed with possible stage 3 cancer... They will be classifying it when all of the biopsies are in and after her PET Scan on Tuesday. She just had a power-port put in today for her chemo treatments. I got word last Friday that it was positively cancer and that they will be starting chemo and radiation on her as soon as possible.

With all of this worry and things going on I haven't picked up a book in a few weeks... So I will soon be getting back to my book blog .... I have been trying to keep up with my main blog ... but haven't been able to concentrate on this one....

I'm sorry for being away form here but I am still going to try to post the kindle freebies...

I'm going to be on and off here a while in the next couple of weeks*

I haven't posted as much as I usually do on my book blog this month but I am still here.. Life has gotten so busy with kids their schools and work... Then trying to keep up with home and my main blog.... Don't worry I am still here just taking a brake from posting here for just a little bit... I love it when the mailman arrives - except today :-(

I am always happy to see the mailman because that means goodies arriving for me. Until today I went out to meet the mailman and he gave me this as he was scanning the delivery confirmation on the package. lol

If you cant read what is stamped on the package it says "Received Unsealed" and then it stamped "Received Without Contents".... I was like what : - o

Now I have to go back threw my emails to try to figure out what it was that was in my package lol... I know it was a book but what book..... lol

I Am Back From Work Related Class and Done With Prom Whoo Hoo

Okay I have been offline for a few days.... I had to go to Class this weekend out of town for my job and then had to race back just in time for my daughter to get ready for prom (pictured above) .... and then we had inventory at work on Sunday boy am I tired.

I was off today and was trying to play catch up work on here and get Prom Pictures posted all day but them the night girl called in so I went in to work... I had to write my order anyways but still so much wanted to enjoy my day off.

I am glad class is out of my way and Prom is over.... hurray.... My daughter pictured above had so much fun and that is what counts....

I will be doing catch up work all this week...

My Thoughts: The story takes place right at bed time and the little sea otter's mama is trying to get him snuggled up in bed. But before he can drift off to bed he has to tell all his sea friends and creatures good night. What a cute story.

This book actually reminds me of my youngest daughter who is pictured with the book. When I get ready to settle her down at night she has to give every stuffed animal in her room a kiss before she can get into bed. Just like the little sea otter has to tell everything goodnight.

The pictures in the book are just beautiful and she loves to sit with her book looking at all the pretty colors and all of the sea animals on the pages. Since receiving this book a few months ago this has become one of her favorite books to look at. We have to keep it on her favorite book shelf and it is often grabbed at night when she gets to pick out the night time story.

What a nice story book and a really colorful way to learn about different animals and sea creatures that live in the sea.

I rate this childrens book 5 out of 5 stars

During times of change and challenge, it is very easy, and often inevitable, that a child can assume they they've done 'something wrong' and there's 'something wrong 'with them. The author uses various fantasy characters who undergo various challenges, and are shown by their friends, in ways that children can respond and relate to easily, that they are not the cause of the circumstances. The book has been carefully crafted to help children develop a sense of wholeness, happiness, peace and self confidence. This helps them avoid self injurious preoccupations with seeking others approval, or need to control and dominate, as they become older.

My Thoughts: I received the special narrated edition with 2 Cd's and we read the story plus we also did the book with the Cd's playing so my daughter got a double dose of the story. My daughter was just a little younger then the age recommendation of 5 - 11 years but she really enjoyed me reading to her and even hearing the Cd's read to her at night.

I love the fact that the story is in parts so it can be read a little each night and at the end of each part it has some encouraging phrases for the child to think about while sleeping. For Example: "Tonight as you settle to sleep, remember that you are just as amazing and unique as Fumblekins. You don't need to prove this to anyone. You just are." I just loved the positive note that each part ended on.

The four stories each have 2 parts and they each deal with a different problem or issue that a child might experience. This book sure is a nice tool to have to help young children deal with issues and to help encourage them.... I really enjoyed reading this book to my young daughter and I'm sure it will become one of her favorites as she grows.

About The Author

Emma Piers is an author, wellbeing coach and narrator. She lives in rural Dorset in the UK with her life/working partner Mark Turner. Emma was born in a rambling old vicarage in Kent, in 1958. Her father was a vicar, and she had two siblings. During her early years, the family moved five times. During these years, Emma developed a deep love and sense of connectedness with the natural world around her. Walking and writing stories about mythical creatures and people became a big preoccupation, alongside a love of English that was instilled in her by two teachers who were both passionate about their subject. As a counter balance, she managed to fail her Maths ‘O’ level three times. Friendships came and went with five different schools in short succession being attended. A working year exploring the USA and France was followed by another year feeling out of place in a technical college studying pitman script, shorthand typing and profit and loss accounts. Many years and several homes later, after her younger child started grammar school, Emma started studying counselling and creative writing. After a number of years in counselling practice, and travels in Australia, Emma’s more recent studies are encompassing both traditional therapeutic and mythological storytelling. This form of storytelling incorporates understandings of the holistic ways in which human and environment interact.

My Thoughts: I haven't read anything from this other until receiving Blood Of My Brother for review. Blood Of My Brother is actually the authors second novel. When I read the description on the book it sounded like a novel that I would enjoy. I love a good murder mystery, action packed book.

I really enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. The book had a great story line that pulls you in right from the start and keeps a hold of you tell the end. The characters in the story were easy to get to know and follow... Jay stopped at nothing to get Dan his best friend the justice he deserves.

About The Author:

James LePore is an attorney who has practiced law for more than two decades. He is also an accomplished photographer (his work can be seen at www.nakedeyeimages.com). He lives in South Salem, New York with his wife, artist, Karen Chandler.

A World I Never Made, his first novel, was written after extensive research into the history of Islam on the Iberian Peninsula, and travel in Europe and North Africa. Mr. LePore writes novels of suspense, driven as much by gripping stories as by strong, complex characters. His second novel Blood Of My Brother, will be released on December 25, 2010; his third, Sons and Princes, in May, 2011.

Mr. LePore is a writer of short fiction as well. His stories stand alone as dramatic works, but are also meant to illuminate the central characters in his novels. Anyone Can Die, a collection of short stories written to accompany A World I Never Made, will be released in February, 2011.

Mr. LePore is currently at work on his fourth novel, the story of a Manhattan district attorney whose son is wrongly accused of murder, which The Story Plant will publish in fall, 2011.

This book puts all the information you will need to learn how to save big money all in one book.

I found this book easy to follow, read and understand. In this book it shows you where and how to get your coupons, tips on how to use them at the stores and so much more. One of my favorite parts in this book for me was the section on the drug store coupon usages and register rewards programs. It is so hard to keep all of the drug stores policies figured out for me between Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. This sure is a great book for me to keep with my coupon folder for quick reference.

This book has so much information in it and it is small enough to carry with all of your coupons that I have no problem recommending this book to anyone wanting to learn how to coupon. I have a family of 5 children and in the past year I have saved so much money just by using my coupons.

My Thoughts: Fifo is a little teddy bear that helps children learn about the 50 states by rhyming. This is a young childrens book but can be enjoyed by children of all ages.

I really enjoyed reading this book to my little girl and she sure loved the pictures. As I read her the rhymes about the 50 states I was able to point to the things in the picture that corresponded to the things in the rhyme.

This book makes it fun and easy to learn about each states capital, shape, flag, state birds, flower and much more. I wished I had this fun little rhyming book when my other kids were growing up this might of made it much easier to learn about some of these state things and capitals early so they would know them when it came time to study them in school.

This is a wonderful learning and teaching tool for little children. I would have no problem recommending this book to all children.

About The Author

Hayley Rose grew up in the beach side town of Pacific Palisades , California, to a family of visual artists. In the early 1990’s she traveled the U.S. with her band Crush Violet. In 1994, after a family reunion, she was inspired to write a children’s book. Looking for a cute and catchy name for a main character, she kept hearing “first in, first out”. Hence, the name Fifo was born. Hayley’s mother would often ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up, so Hayley decided to start her series of “Fifo” books with that very question. Her first book, Fifo “When I Grow Up” was published in 2002. Her love of travel inspired her second book in the Fifo series, Fifo “50 States”, published in 2010.

Along with writing children’s books, Hayley has been working in entertainment business management for the past 15 years, specializing in concert touring. She has worked with many “A list” musicians including Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and Candlebox just to name a few. Hayley hopes to one day soon release an album of children’s songs. She is a currently member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and resides in Los Angeles, CA.

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed Torment book #2 in the Fallen Series. This book continues the love story of Luce and Daniel and gives us a little more (but not a whole lot)look into the mystery that surrounds them. We do get to find out what Luce's shadows are and how she learns to use them to her advantage.

In this book Luce gets moved to a new school for her protection and meets more good and bad angels. Unlike the school of sword and cross from book #1 this school is a dream. She meets new friends and has to try to learn how to deal with the Luce and Danial fame that has now surrounded her. The Luce and Danial story has been told and passed down from generations of angels for hundreds and hundreds of years. It's a shame that Luce can't remember her past lives to figure out the bits and pieces of her and Daniels story.

I am hooked on finding out about Luce and Daniels story so I am planning on getting Passion book #3 when it comes out. I wished this book gave me more incite into their lives together but I hope the next book can give me more. This was a nice Young Adult book and I would recommend this book to YA and older.

My Answer to this weeks question: One year I got up with my husband when he got ready for work at 4:30 AM and we ran into the kids room telling them the power was out and we all over slept they need to get up now and hurry get ready we have 15 to get to school..... He He He .... when they were up running around and heading to the van to get to school they said mom why is it dark still outside.... and then we said oh no April Fools.... Go Back To Bed.... They were not happy but we finally got them all back at one time for April fooling us in the past.....

My Thoughts:

I thought some of the book had a few slow parts but it didn't take me long to get drawn into this book. The characters caught my attention and kept me with the book to the end. Luce and Daniel are the main characters - at first I wasn't really happy with Daniel but Luce I felt sorry for. Poor girl having some issues and being forced to attend a boarding school for troubled kids with no cell phones or contact with the outside world except for 15 minutes on the phone a week. What a horrible place to end up.

Luce was also friends with Cam who I liked at first and then didn't later on. Cam was really fighting for Luce affection, but Danial was in her head and she had to figure out why. My favorite character was Penn Luce's friend at Sword & Cross. She was a really cool character a true friend someone you would love to be best friends with and she knew everything about the school and the students that was very helpful to Luce.

I thought the story idea was wonderful and although the story felt a little slow for me it ended up being a wonderful read. I very much enjoyed it all the way to the end. Luce and Daniel what a wonderful love story that has literally lasted over and over and over again. This is one love story that can actually say I will love you forever.

I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars

Had Computer issues and been sick

Sorry everyone I have been MIA this week because everyone in my family has been ill so I have been either tending to them or working.... and now when I have time to post on my computer it is acting up so I am on my husbands and his computer has nothing of mine saved lol...... So I feel like a fish out of water here......

My Thoughts:

Breath Of Angel is the first book in the Angeleon Circle series. I enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to reading the other books that will be coming out in this series.

Once I got stated reading this book it was hard to put it down. I just wanted to keep reading further... There were a couple of area's in the book that I got a little lost on but for the most part I thought it was enjoyable.

I rate this book 4/5 stars

My Thoughts: This is the first Richard Doetsch novel that I have read. I was not disappointed at all it kept a fast pace from the moment I started reading it. This was a book I didn't want to put down tell it was finished. I really enjoyed it..... Diffidently a must read.
