My Thoughts:

I picked this audio book because I thought this would be very interesting And I was right. I like historic fiction books and I can say this is another good one.

I had a hard time thinking that Abraham Lincoln could be a vampire hunter, come on honest Ab a vampire hunter Ya Right. With the historical facts about Abraham Lincoln and the Fiction of the Vampires, this is written in such a way that it can make it believeable.

Abraham Lincoln suffered the loss of him mother to later find out from his dad that a vampire had a hand in the death of not only his mother but his aunt and uncle. It was then when he begun his journey to being a Vampire hunter.

This book is action packed and full of vampire hunting. I found this book very enjoyable. when I had to stop lisening it left me wondering what is to happen next.

Description: Frankford Lucas is the chief superintendent in the police force. He is well respected and well thought of... however, he has a secret. Ever since childhood he has visited The Quiet Road in his dreams. He thought it was a good place, this Quiet Road, but events unfold to prove otherwise. Gruesome murders are being carried out on his patch and trophies turning up in his flat with no rational explanation. Who is slaughtering the innocent victims and why?

My Thoughts:

Oh wow what a book. From the minute I opened this book up it was one I couldn't put down. When I did put it down this book left me wondering what was going to happen next. That is one thing I really look for. Annie defiantly captured and took off running with that threw out this book. I was glued to every page I turned.

What kind of animal would brutally kill all these people and why? That is what Frankford Lucas is going to find out. Threw the help of profile Lenny Docker and a clairvoyant medium the Sarsaparilla Duchess. Frankford Lucas will find his answers but he will also find far more then he could ever imagine.

Annie Frame brings the characters to life in this book. This book is wonderfully written and flows easy for the reader. As I read I was able to feel true emotions for the main character Frankford Lucas and all the other characters in this book.

The Quiet Road is Annie's second book and I can't wait to see more and more of her work. I will most defiantly follow her work in the future. Annie Frame is a new writer and I believe she is well on her way to be one of the top 10 best Authors in the future.

About The Author: Taken from the first page of her book The Quiet Road "Annie's Words"

" I'm a clairvoyant medium who works with the other side of life. Writing is a wonderful way for me to express myself and sets me free. I like to use fiction knowing it offers the reader the opportunity to enjoy the story without any duty to believe in ghosts. Although I do, goes without saying! During my life the ability to see spirits has been a mixed blessing, so much so I worked at not seeing them for quite a long time. Fortunately my stories provide a pathway to share my world with others......."

Receiving a complementary copy of this book doesn't obligate me to give a good or bad review. I am an honest reviewer. My Reviews are written by me based on my own opinion*

Disney Fairies - Prilla's Talent Review

Disney's Fairies Prilla's Talent- Featuring Tinker Bell
By Stefan Petrucha
Illustrator Magic Eye Studio

Published: March 30, 2010 by Papercutz

Details: Paperback, 80 pages, Graphic Novel
ISBN13: 9781597071864

US Price: $7.99 Paperback - $12.99 Hardcover

Where To Buy: Amazon and other's

Description:
In this story, the Fairy Prilla appears at the home of a rich, lonely “Clumsy” (human) boy named Kenton. When Kenton decides to trap her in a jar and keep her as a pet, she vows to change this cynical child from a sad introvert to a happy young boy. Prilla can disappear from the jar and return to Neverland at will, but she doesn’t let Kenton know that! When it turns out that Prilla needs Kenton’s help to save one of her fairy friends, the tables quickly turn in this delightful and heartwarming story from Disney’s Fairies.

My Thoughts:

Prilla's Talent was such a cute graphic novel. Disney Fairies are always a big hit in our house. We watch Tinkerbell and the fairy's all the time when they are on Disney and now with this amazing graphic novel they can take the fairies with them and read in the car or where ever they are. My middle daughter just loved this book and she read it several times to her baby sister.

This book isn't only written well but it is beautify illustrated. The beautiful and colorful pictures backed up with the well written story sure makes this book a hit. This book is #1 in the series and I can't wait to get all the others for my girls to add to their Disney Fairy collections.

*I received a complementary copy of Disney Fairies: Prilla's Talent for review. This was provided to me by AME Virtual Author Tours threw an opportunity of Book Blog. ABC Sing-a-long Review

ABC Sing-a-long By Gloria Seymour

Published: November 15th 2004 by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Details: Paperback, 16 pages, Children's book
ISBM13# 9780805964738

Price: $8.00

Where To Purchase: Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Description:
Are you looking for a new, simple, and effective way to teach your child the alphabet? Many studies show that children retain more information when it is presented in multiple media. Gloria Seymour’s ABC Sing-a-long combines sight with sound, using pictures of the letters and relating ideas with music and rhyme, to speed your child’s learning and enhance his or her retention of information.

My Thoughts:

When reading the description on the this book and seeing the wonderfully colored cover of the book I thought this was going to be a really wonderful book for my daughter. She will be learning the Alphabet soon and I wanted a really fun and colorful way for her to learn. I did not get it with this book.

I try to choose books for my little girls that are colorful, entertaining and educational. I did get some of these from this book but my little girl lost entrust fast. I guess I judged this book by it's cover because if you look at the cover it is very colorful and fun looking. I thought the book would be the same way all the way threw. It was not. The inside of the book is black and white. It does have pictures with the Alphabet pages but no color what so ever.

I always ask my self these 5 questions when reviewing a childrens book. Did this book do what the description states? (Yes) it is a sing a long alphabet book that did use site, Letters, music and rhyme. Was this an educational book? (Yes) it did teach the alphabet, so you can learn from this book. However it didn't pass my other questions I ask. Was this book colorful? (No) the only color the book had was the cover. My little girl doesn't follow along with books that aren't colorful. Did this book hold her interest? (No) she didn't want no part of the book after I read the first 2 pages. She just went off and was playing and that was pretty much it. Dose the book hold up to the price? (No) I'm sorry but I just think the $8 is way to much for this book. The description states 16 pages which is true but the story part of the book was only 8 pages total and they were black and white pictures.

I would have to say if I rated my reviews I would have to give this book 2 out of 5 stars. It only pasted 2 out of the 5 questions that I ask. Childrens books are usually a higher rating with me, most all of them usually get 5 out of 5 questions. I'm sorry to say this one just didn't do it for me.

*I received a complimentary copy of ABC Sing-a-long to review from the Dorrance Publishing Co. By Receiving a copy of this book for review it in no way requires me to give a positive or a negative review. I am an honest reviewer and these reviews are based on my own opinion and written only by me. *
