Love Your Heart Review

Product/Book Name: Love Your Heart by Tim McGraw and Tom Douglas

Ages: 4-10

Price: $16.99 Hardcover

Put out by: Tommy Nelson (Thomas Nelson Publisher)

Love Your Heart by Tim McGraw and Tom Douglas is a wonderfully written children's book. The Illustrations by Abigail Marble are incredible.

Summery: Katie's father helps her find a talent from her many talents to choose one for the talent show. On the very night she is to perform her talent with her dog Palio in hopes of winning the crown she puts aside her own wants to help her friend Sophie out. Katie finds out that her best talent isn't something she can perform its something from inside her heart.

My Thoughts:

Love Your Heart is a wonderful written book. I really enjoyed reading it to my children. My youngest sure enjoyed all the wonderful pictures in the book. The illustrator Abigail Marble did a fantastic job in capturing Katie's happiness and excitement threw the art work on every page.

You can feel the happiness of katie and the love and caring she has in her heart. For her to give up her own desire to win to help Sophie out to achieve her goals is simply precious.

This is the type of book I love to read to my children and to have my children read. I recommend this book to any one who has children or takes care of them. This is a wonderful book that teaches children that it's a good thing to help out your friends and that instead of a material prize, they will win the biggest prize of all the kindness of their heart.

My Thoughts on Terrestria Chronicles

When I was contacted about this book set, I was excited. My children love books about kings, Queens, Castles, Knights and Dragons (well all but 1 does, the oldest girl isn't a fan Castles, Knights and that time frame). I love Christian based books and movies and teachings for my children. Wow this has it all the story's they like and the teachings mom likes. Needless to say I couldn't wait to receive this review in the mail.

When the book set arrived we dived right in to the first book ( The Sward, The Ring & The Parchment). The children were following on every word, they would often say just one more page when it was time to stop reading. Come on mom just one more page. I haven't ran into that in a while from the books we have read in the past. They wanted so much to find out what happens next with Josiah, King Emmanuel and the Evil Argamor.

My children really enjoyed the Castle Facts that were included in the back of the book. And I enjoyed "Becoming a child of the king" on page 189 it's as simple as A-B-C.

This Book series does come with a study guide for Parents, Teachers and Students. Although we didn't use the study guide while reading The Sward, The Ring & The Parchment this is a wonderful way to help the children better understand the meaning behind the book. This would be a great tool to have along with the book.

If your looking for a Christian based book that will keep your children interested and teach them about the lord this is a wonderful choice. I have read them other christian based books that they just had to work to hard to even understand or follow that they have lost interest fast. But with this book my children were glued to every last word and would often discuss the book among each other trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book.

Wright On Time - Arizona- Book 1 Reveiw

Wright on Time- Arizona- Book 1 (Author: Lisa M. Cottrell-Bentley) Review. Click here to watch a short video about the book on U-Tube. Please check out their web site.

I was excited about doing a review on the wright on time Arizona book. It is book 1 of a series. This 100 page chapter book is recommended for ages 5 - 12+ years. all of my children enjoyed this book and they are ages 9 - 15. This book made it easy for my younger kids to understand some of the words by having a Glossary in the back. When we ran across a word they weren't sure about they were able to look it up. The children and I enjoyed the fact that it had some interesting facts about the state included.

This book series is about the Wrights who are traveling in an RV and being home schooled along the way. There first adventure takes place in Arizona in a cave. My children couldn't stop reading this book. They just had to find what they were digging out of the cave, and do they get to see the bats, and what are soda straws? and what are they doing in a cave? My children just kept going on this book I would have to remind them that hey put the book down its time for bed.

This is a wonderful book for children and I enjoyed reading it as well. I haven't seen the children that involved in there books they read in a while. I usually have to remind them they have to read their books for school. But this one they didn't want to put down. They also enjoyed the pictures that went along with the book. (Illustrator: Tanja Bauerle)

The Arizona is book 1 of the series and is the only one available at this time. The second book Utah is currently on pre-order, but not available at this time. This book and the Utah book can be purchased at Wright On Time Books and also on Amazon for $12.99.
